Settling in at Elm St

We know that starting at any early education centre is a big step for both children and their families. At Elm St, we support a gradual settling-in process that helps children become familiar with our environment at their own pace.

Once your enrolment is confirmed, you’re welcome to join us for a series of stay and play sessions. These visits give your child the chance to explore different parts of the day, like indoor and outdoor play, lunch, rest time, music sessions or storytime, while you stay to support them.

There’s no set number of sessions. Some families visit just a couple of times, while others spread visits over a week or two. We’ll work with you to find a rhythm that helps your child feel safe, comfortable and ready to start their new adventures at daycare.

Booking a spot

We offer flexible enrolment options to suit the diverse needs of our families. We are open 50 weeks a year. Children can be enrolled on:

• A permanent basis – this means your child has guaranteed days each week, with the option to attend anywhere from 2 to 5 days a week.

• A casual basis – perfect for families who need full or half day care from time to time, whether it’s for a one-off appointment, emergency care or to top up existing permanent days. Read more here.
